These palette-knife oil paintings on 8 x 10 in. panels are created on site (en plein air) in an urban woodland preserve. Individually, each piece represents an intimate observation of a specific day in a finite season. Collectively, the paintings form a personally perceived narrative about the beauty and surprise of seasonal change in Wisconsin's forests, and in the artist's life.
